Looking to get an entry-level healthcare job? Taking a CNA or CRMA course? This online, basic math skills class can be integrated with any adult education healthcare course. Improve your math skills and increase your marketability while training for your new profession. The basics of percents, decimals, fractions, and measurements will be taught as they relate to health care. Available entirely online, but students can get additional support at the learning center. Once enrolled, students have 6 weeks to complete the course. To enroll in the class, students are required to complete an intake, participate in an orientation to the class, and take assessments. Enrollment available: Jan 27th-March 9th.
The Math and Technology Lab is an opportunity for students to get extra help in math or technology courses they are taking throughout our program. Our distance learning students can use this time to work on their course with staff available to help as needed. Laptops are available for students to use.

Geared toward the novice iPad user, in this class you will learn how to operate and navigate around an iPad and use select apps such as Mail and the camera app, which will allow you to take, edit, and share photos and videos. Along the way, you'll learn some key vocabulary and how to find your way around the iPad. Students will need to bring their own iPads.
Healthcare is one of the fastest growing industries in Maine. As a Certified Medical Administrative Assistant (MAA), you can access a variety of local jobs in hospitals, clinics, dentist and eye doctor offices. Build career skills and prepare for a national MAA certification exam in this hands-on, 13-week program. Program courses include:

Use an on-line simulated, medical office for realistic experience with electronic medical records. We schedule several site visits and guest speakers. Past students have said this is one of the most valuable aspects of the program. Topics include:
