Prepare for college statistics with our unique online course! Get a head start on learning the terms, symbols, stats software, and graphing calculator. This online course is for students who have placed into college statistics or those who are retaking the class.

Class will meet weekly on Zoom. Delayed viewing is available on an individual basis. Students will need a laptop, tablet or desktop (not a phone) with a camera and microphone, as well as high speed internet. Ideally, students will either have a TI-83 or 84 calculator to use or online statistical software. Outside homework will be given to supplement online instruction. Students should expect 2-3 hours of homework a week outside of class. Students will be asked to provide recent assessment scores, which can be taken with us.

Getting your resume at the top of the pile is the first step.  Mastering the interview (in-person or via videoconferencing) is the second.  Explore the basics of resume writing: how to create a job-specific resume, what content to include, and how it should be formatted.  Learn effective job searching techniques including how to utilize job search engines like Indeed, Monster, Linkedin.  Complete a job application to show your interest and inform a potential employer your relevant skills and experience.  Practice mock interviewing to confidently and professionally present yourself as a valuable asset to an employer.  We provide no cost follow up sessions by appointment.

Writing Workshop

Work one-on-one with writing instructor Phil Wormuth; you will have  intensive practice and feedback  to help build skills for effective writing in both the workplace and academic settings. A special emphasis will be placed on building confidence in essay writing, developing your written voice, and building a system for quality writing: drafting, revising, and editing. This is an excellent class for individuals preparing for their HiSET writing test, college, or a training program.  Participants will complete a reading and writing assessment prior to enrolling in the class.

Brush up on your math skills before taking a college math course!  Here is your opportunity to work on arithmetic basics up to Algebra.  This is a great class to build your confidence in your math skills for college or work. Move from "I can't do math," to "I CAN do math!"

Our Computer Support Specialist course (CSS) provides participants with an overview of the computer to improve their digital literacy skills. 

Explore the hardware and siftware of a computer and learn about: computer basics, Microsoft Windows, Internet, email, social media, Google, and Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point.

CSS may be taken as a single course or part of the computer support program.
