In this writing-intensive class, work to improve your writing, reading, critical thinking, and research skills. Course activities also focus on developing skills necessary for college and/or career success: public speaking, self-advocacy, teamwork, time management and organization. Participation in a variety of interactive and challenging activities will help you develop your writing style and skills. High school completion students will earn one credit for completing this class.
Advanced Math is the second of three levels of math classes offered for high school completion students. To enroll, students must have completed Pre-Algebra/HiSet Math 1 or receive teacher permission. Students can earn high school credit while studying for the HiSet. Class will meet twice a week. One meeting will allow students to meet in person if they choose. The second class meeting of the week will be held online. Student technology requirements are a laptop, tablet, or desktop (not a phone), camera, microphone, and hi-speed Internet.

Looking for an Algebra 1 course and credit? Algebra 1 is designed for credit towards high school diploma and for college admission; the class will also help you prepare for college-level math courses. A once-a-week online class meeting and online homework make this an intensive course. Students will work on writing and solving equations, coordinate graphing, factoring, systems of equations. Expect to spend 2-3 hours a week doing coursework. Students must complete an intake and online learning orientation when enrolling.
Technology requirements for the class are a laptop, tablet or desktop (not a phone), camera, microphone and hi-speed Internet.
This class is free to students earning their diploma through RSU 24 Adult Education.
Prepare for college statistics with our unique online class! Get a head start on learning the terms, symbols, and using a graphing calculator. This course is for students who have placed into college statistics or those who are retaking the class.
Class will meet once a week online on Zoom with coursework done on an online learning platform. There will be no textbook. Homework will be given to supplement online instruction.
Students will need a laptop, tablet or desktop (not a phone) with a camera and microphone, as well as high speed internet. Ideally, students will have a TI-83 or 84 calculator.
Students will be asked to provide recent assessment scores, which can be taken with us. Call us if you're in need of a computer to take this class.
