Class will be scheduled once we have enough students who have submitted the required paperwork and assessment.
This programs trains CNAs to administer selected non-injectable medications to patients who are 4 years of age and older. The course consists 120 hours of training, labs and clinicals.
In order to take this class the Certified Nursing Assistant must:
- be active CNA and in good standing on the Maine State CNA Registry with no disqualifying annotations
- have completed at least the equivalent of one year (2,080 hours) of full-time employment as a CNA prior to taking the couse (this can be accumulated over a period of time), and
- achieve a 10th grade level on a reading comprehension assessment
- have all paperwork (application, references, confirmation letter(s) of hours of employment) submitted
