Basket Weaving: Hands Free Berry Baskets

Create this hands-free berry basket to wear while you cruise the berry patch. No longer will you have to stop and find your basket on the ground…you may wear it around your neck or shoulder or across your body. Just line this 6x8x10 basket with a plastic gallon bag and start picking. You will also start a second berry basket (4x6x7 approximately 1 qt.) to finish at home. Comes with straps.

Basket Weaving: Craft Tool Carrier/Organizer

Must have prior basket weaving experience to sign up for this class.

This carrier/organizer tray is designed with crafters in mind and is perfect for the rug hooker, punch needle artist, knitter or crocheter.  Participants will weave a lovely and functional basket/tray with wooden handle and dividers to keep crafting tools and supplies organized and easily transported.

Want to stay active? Get into a walking routine! Join Kathy at the Sorrento-Sullivan Recreation Center for an hour of walking. You can saunter, power walk or speed walk. Basket Weaving: May Baskets

Guided by your instructor, participants will learn a traditional weaving technique using an array of colorful natural reeds to create square-to-round baskets with handles. Use your creativity to perfect these charming, one-of-a-kind celebratory May baskets...still a tradition in Downeast Maine. No experience necessary.
