Learn the technique of visualizing architectural designs through hand-drawing with an emphasis on perspective, scale, and composition while also studying the interplay of light, shadow, and texture to bring structures to life. Students can learn to capture the essence of residential architecture whether a modern minimalist style to traditional designs. 

Students should bring their own 9x12 or 11x14 paper/sketchbook, #2 pencils, ruler, and eraser plus a $4 materials fee payable to the instructor.

Your instructor, Chris Toy, is the author of 6 popular cookbooks, a private chef, and hastaught Asian-fusion cooking for several Maine community education programs. Cooking students will learn how to prepare a variety of recipes from Asia, Europe, and the Americas incorporating traditional and local ingredients. Each meal will actively engage cooks with the tools, techniques, and stories behind the dishes being created.

Fly Fishing: An Introduction

This course is designed to get you solidly grounded in the fundamentals needed to enjoy fly fishing.  Topics covered include tackle selection and assembly, knots, fly casting, fish foods, artificial flies, fly fishing strategies, entomology, and wading safety.  After completing this course, you should have all the understanding and skills necessary to catch fish with a fly rod on your own. 

This course will be taught in Orono by Kevin Tracewski, a registered Maine Guide and author of the best selling book, A Fisherman's Guide to Maine
